Luc Burgun

CEO and President

Dr. Luc Burgun is President and CEO of EVE, the leader in hardware/software co-verification, and President of the supervisory board of Cofluent, a leader in ESL specification. Co-founder of EVE, Luc has about 20 years of experience in EDA, where he held engineering and executive positions. Prior to founding EVE, Luc Burgun headed the R&D team of Meta Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mentor Graphics, specialized in hardware emulation systems. He has published numerous articles at international technical conferences and has been granted six patents on accelerated verification. Luc Burgun holds a Ph.D degree in Logic Synthesis from the University of Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris, France.

Venk Shukla

Venk Shukla

Venk Shukla has had a long and varied career that includes sales, marketing, and general management experience, and a proven track record of leading companies through rapid growth. He was most recently senior vice president of marketing at Magma Design Automation Inc. Before joining Magma, Shukla was CEO and co-founder of Everypath, a leader in enterprise mobile computing. Previously, he was vice president of marketing at Ambit Design Systems, acquired by Cadence Design Systems, and a marketing executive at Cadence. At Systems & Networks, a network planning software company, he was vice president of marketing and sales. He also worked in sales at Teradyne, Inc. In 1990 Shukla helped found the standards organization, Open Verilog International (OVI), which has since become Accellera. He started his career in Civil Service where he was an under-secretary within the Indian federal government. He holds a Master of Science degree in management from MIT's Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, Mass.

Robert Eckelmann

Robert Eckelmann

Rob Eckelmann was Vice President of Intel's Sales and Marketing Group and General Manager for Europe, Middle East, and Africa Operations (EMEA). At Intel, Rob opened offices in Asia-Pacific, including China, India and the emerging markets of Southeast Asia. He began his business career at Intel, managing international strategy in the office of then-President Andy Grove. Earlier, he served in the United States government, managing international trade policy and development in the technology sector. Rob works closely with the EVE management team and brings considerable expertise in sales strategy, international expansion, and recruitment. He is also a member of the Board of Directors at IXI Mobile and Norwood Systems. Rob holds degrees from Princeton University, the University of Chicago and Williams College.

Ludovic Larzul

Vice President of Engineering

 

Ludovic is one of the founders of EVE and has 13 years of experience in CAD development. He has worked on numerous projects including the integration between hardware emulators and popular software simulators, efficient interfaces based on transactors, communication between multiple emulation systems, system-level place and route etc... Ludovic holds a Diplome d'Ingenieur de l'Institut de Recherche et d'Enseignement Superieur aux Techniques de l'Electronique (Ecole Polytechnique de Nantes).

Marc Oiknine

Director, 3i

Marc joined 3i in 2007 as a Director, bringing a 7-year experience in Private Equity. He currently sits on the Boards of Dibcom, Emulation Verification Engineering, Visiware and Telisma. Prior to 3i, Marc was a Principal at Atlas Venture in the TMT team focusing on investments in Digital Media, Internet and Software. Marc closely worked with management teams of DailyMotion (Video Sharing), Sporever (Sports Content, listed on Euronext), Soisic (Semiconductors, sold to ARM Holdings(LSE)), RealEyes3D (Mobile Applications) and VirtuaLogix (Embedded Software). Before Atlas Venture, Marc spent four years at Credit Lyonnais Private Equity where he helped co-found the Growth and Venture Capital businesses investing in more than 15 companies. Previously, Marc started as an Investment Banker in New York and Paris within the Media group at Clinvest (Credit Lyonnais IBD Group). Marc holds a Master’s of Science from EM Lyon (France) including a program at Ecole Centrale (Lyon) and with the London Business School. He is fluent in French, English, Spanish, Arabic and Hebrew.

Philippe Granger

Philippe Granger is a Partner of Auriga Partners, which he joined soon after its creation in 1998. He has been instrumental in a number of investments in the areas of software, EDA, semiconductors, network infrastructure and Internet. He currently serves as a Director on the boards of EVE (France), Innovative Silicon Inc. (USA), Nemerix (Switzerland), Neolane (France). Prior to this, he was a Professor at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées (ENSTA) in Paris, where he headed the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications. Before, he was an IT researcher specializing in software and hardware verification at the Ecole Polytechnique (Paris), Carnegie Mellon University, and the Ecole Normale Supérieure (Paris). Philippe graduated (1985), and holds a doctorate in Computer Science (1991) from the Ecole Polytechnique.

Michel de Lempdes

Michel de Lempdes

Investment Director, Credit Lyonnais Private Equity

Michel de Lempdes started his career at Crédit Lyonnais Americas, where he was involved in the structuring of LBO operations and the creation of a private equity fund of funds at Crédit Lyonnais' Leverage Finance Sponsor Group in New York. He then joined the Crédit Lyonnais Private Equity (now Crédit Agricole Private Equity) venture department in January 2001, where he is responsible for investments in the area of electronics. Michel serves as a director on the boards of EVE, Avertec, Si Automation, Novaled, and as an observer on the boards of Tronic's and Dibcom. Michel de Lempdes is a graduate of the Reims business school.

Pascal Demichel

Partner, Siparex Ventures - Epicea

Pascal joined Siparex Ventures in May 1998. Since December 2006, he also serves as chairman of Sud-Partners. Pascal started his career as an R&D engineer with the Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique (CEA). In 1987 he participated to the creation and the development of Epicea, the venture capital arm of the CEA and one of the pioneer investment vehicles in the early stage venture capital industry in France. Pascal is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Céramique Industrielle, of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (IEP) and of the Institut d'Administration des Entreprises de Paris (IAE).
