Membership Reinforces EVE's Commitment to PowerPC Technology, Supports Power Architecture as Open Platform
SAN JOSE, Calif. July 24, 2006 Hardware-assisted verification provider EVE today announced that it has become a sponsoring member of Power.org, a community of companies driving innovation around the Power Architecture technology.
EVE joins a roster of more than 40 companies and 10,000 developers engaged in collaborative innovation around this technology. By joining, EVE helps Power.org build on its success as a leading supplier of PowerPC® components for embedded applications and strengthens its long-term commitment to Power Architecture(TM) technology.
EVE is developing fast hardware-assisted verification platforms that enable simultaneous hardware and embedded software verification. The Power Architecture scales from battery-powered applications to high-performance servers with full binary application compatibility. EVE is committed to Power Architecture technology and is differentiating its products on performance and features within the framework defined by the Power Architecture technology.
EVE last month introduced ZeBu-UF4 (for ultra-fast), a hardware-assisted verification platform that shortens time to tapeout, improves product quality, eliminates costly respins and accelerates software development ahead of silicon.
"Power.org has helped further the development of the Power Architecture technology by encouraging its members to collaborate on open standards around the Power Architecture," says Lauro Rizzatti, vice president of worldwide marketing and general manager of EVE-USA. "Our ZeBu validation platforms are ideal vehicles to test Power Architecture-based systems since their superior performance and usability speed up the integration of design hardware with embedded software and the validation of RTOSs and application programs.".
"Power.org offers a platform for members such as EVE to leverage its technology expertise and innovative solutions for the growth and development of the Power Architecture technology," remarks William Dykas, manager, Power ecosystem development, IBM Technology Collaboration Solutions. "We are pleased to welcome EVE to the Power.org community and look forward to the contributions it will make as a key supplier of validation platforms for developing Power Architecture-based embedded systems on chip."
The entire ZeBu line of hardware assisted verification platforms will be demonstrated during the 43rd Design Automation Conference (DAC) today through Thursday at the Moscone Center in San Francisco in Booth #924.
